How to get there?
The Wood School is based in Newstead, Victoria VIC 3462. Approximately 1 hour 50minute drive from the Melbourne CBD and accessible by VLine Train service to Castlemaine, which is 10 minutes drive from Newstead.
What are the school hours?
Classes run from 9am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

What to bring?
Hand Tool Kits are provided but students are required to bring personal PPE (Ear and eye protection and dust mask). Closed toe footwear must be worn and loose clothing and long hair tied back.
Can I bring my own tools?
Yes you can. If time allows students will be shown how to tune and sharpen their own tools.
Can I bring my own wood?
Yes you can, although 2nd hand or salvaged wood cannot be processed using School Machinery. If unsure, please make contact prior to your course and we can discuss this.
